The company AGM, which has recently infrequently pampered us with new products, has announced three smartphones of the G2 series. Three "armored cars" with a solid filling, the eldest of which is equipped with a curious thermal chamber. Actually, only the thermal camera, by and large, smartphones differ. It seems to be. Detailed information is given only for the older model, the AGM G2 Guardian. Literally two words are said about the other two devices.

So. Three smartphones.

  • AGM G2. There is no thermal chamber. There is something called "Breathing Light". If I am correctI understand that we are talking about a special multi-colored backlight on the back of the device. And, by the way, nowhere does it say that the other two devices do not have this backlight.
  • AGM G2 Pro. There is a thermal chamber, but it is "normal". Like the one used in some other smartphones from AGM. For examples I send to one English-language review of the smartphone AGM Glory G1S. According to AGM, such cameras work at a distance of up to 20 meters to the object.
  • AGM G2 Guardian. A "unique" thermal camera capable of seeing up to 500 meters away. Thermal camera - telephoto? Looks like nand then.

By the way, I want to remind you that the "thermal" resolution of such devices is very low. AGM is honest about 256 x 192 = 0.05 MP. (Most likely, the InfiRay ELF3 sensor is used). The final image is always obtained by superimposing a thermal image on a picture taken with a "regular" camera. How can you see something in the dark at a distance of half a kilometer at such a low resolution? I don't know. I hope there will be reviews. Then we'll see.

About the rest�e characteristics.

Smartphones are secure. Traditionally listed are IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. Those. full water protection and some protection from other troubles. They promise that smartphones will survive drops from heights up to one and a half meters. And that they are capable of operating at temperatures from -20°C to 60°C.

The chipset is rare. It's called Qualcomm QCM6490. Announced in 2021 and formally considered a chip for the "Internet of Things". I don't have performance statistics. Judging by the characteristics, it is slightly more powerful than the well-known Snapdragon 778G. T�What can you expect in AnTuTu for half a million parrots - the level is more than solid.

Memory. All three smartphones will have an 8+256 GB variant. For the older one, for AGM G2 Guardian, the 12+256 GB version is also announced. There is support for memory cards, but the tray, apparently, is a hybrid one.

The screens are large, 6.58" (104 cm²). The resolution is high, 1080x2408 (401 ppi). A high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz is suddenly announced. Why it might be needed here is a great mystery.

The battery is excellent, 7000 mAh. But, of course, it adds weight. Fluffy smartphones have never beenlyatsya - 405 grams. Charging is slightly accelerated - 18 watts. There is also wireless charging - 10 watts. (Maybe not all three models, I don't know).

I have nothing more to say about the thermal chamber. About other cameras. 32 MP front, 108+20+2 MP rear.

  • 108 MP is the main camera.
  • 20 MP is a regular (non-thermal) night camera with infrared illumination.
  • 2 MP - macro camera.

Other. There is support for 5G networks, an NFC module, a side fingerprint scanner, Type-C, a sixth Wi-Fi, dual-band GPS. Suddenly there is also a standard audio output.

Single item dFor pride - an ultra-loud speaker (109 dB) and a very bright flashlight on the end face.

About money.

  • AGM G2 will cost $699 (₽50900).
  • For a simple thermal chamber, you will have to pay a hundred greens. AGM G2 Pro will cost you $799 (₽58200).
  • And the older brother, AGM G2 Guardian, will cost $899 (₽65400) and $999 (₽72700) for the 8+256 and 12+256 GB versions, respectively.
