Amazon appears to have finally moved to a three-year refresh cycle for its ink readers. Reader was presented today Kindle 2022 and its kid-friendly version Kindle Kids 2022.
Kindle, just Kindle is basic, ie. the most elementary and cheapest device in the line. The previous "just Kindle", Kindle 2019, was announced in the spring of 2019. And previous is in the summer of 2016.

3. Just a holiday! Now even here we do not have the ancient Micro-USB, but the modern Type-C. And Wi-Fi has become dual-band!
What else. They say the batteries will now last for "up to six weeks of use" versus "up to four weeks" from its predecessor. (Half an hour of reading a day. Backlit and Wi-Fi turned off.)
