Announcement. ASUS ROG Phone 6D and Phone 6D Ultimate - hello superventilation!
Something ASUS frequented. A sweet couple of gaming smartphones ROG Phone 6 - ROG Phone 6 Pro was announced only in July. And now we are happy to meet ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. There is only one major difference between the couples. The July ones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. September models have MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. (D = Dimensity? Well, probably). I don't have performance statistics for the Dimensity 9000+ yet. But, apparently, there are few differences from the top Qualcomm-s. Those. we get somewhere in the region of a million parrots in AnTuTu.
Ultimate Right
That's it.Forgot about the July devices. Let's focus on September. To begin with, on the differences between them.
- Varying amount of memory. ROG Phone 6D is available in 12+256GB and 16+256GB versions. Ultimate has only one version so far, but which one - 16+512 GB! It should be noted that RAM, in comparison with its ancestors, has become faster. LPDDR5X instead of LPDDR5. There is no support for memory cards.
- Ultimate has an additional ROG Vision screen on the back. His colleague has just a beautiful logo instead of a small screen.
- ROG Phone 6D Ultimate comes with an externalAeroActive Cooler 6.
- Ultimate has an AeroActive Portal. Beautiful name. But, in fact, it's just a hole in the case, closed with a shutter. The point is that when you attach the aforementioned AeroActive Cooler 6 cooler to your smartphone, this curtain opens and the cooler starts to drive one liter of outside air per minute into the smartphone case, thereby thoroughly cooling its insides (see the official video two lines below). A cooler can also be attached to ROG Phone 6D, but there it will only cool the body of the device. Which, you see, is a bit different.
That's it. The rest of the smartphones are identical.
AMOLED screens. Huge - 6.78 "(110 cm²), with a high resolution of 1080x2448 (395 ppi). Covered with a Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass. The refresh rate, like its ancestors, is 165 Hz. But the sensor polling frequency has grown from 360 to 720 Hz.
The batteries are also huge, 6000 mAh. Charges ultra-fast - 65 W (42 minutes for a full charge).
The set of cameras is pretty trivial. Front camera with a resolution of 12 MP plus a rear trio 50 + 13 + 5 - the main camera, wide-angle and macro.

About money.
According to the official press release, ASUS ROG Phone 6D will cost from €949 (₽56800, $947). ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is naturally more expensive. Its only version should go on sale with a price tag of €1399 (₽83800, $1400).
