Announcement. Blackview BV5200 - a hundred-dollar armored smartphone
Blackview has announced its new model. A device called Blackview BV5200 has even appeared in their company store on AliExpress.
It's a no brainer that given such a low cost, you shouldn't expect much from a smartphone. Moreover, some part of the money went to the defense.
So. With protection, everything is traditional. IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H are promised. Translated into Russian, this means that the smartphone can be safely bathed in clean water. Well, it is also slightly protected from other minor troubles such as extreme temperatures. And evenyou can drop it a little.
The MediaTek Helio A22 chipset is dearly loved by Blackview. I suspect that, first of all, for its modest price. Don't expect high performance. At best, AnTuTu will have about a hundred thousand points.
Memory. Relatively good amount of RAM - 4 GB. They were greedy with permanent memory, it is only 32 GB. Of course, you can expand using a memory card, but note that the tray here is hybrid.
The screen is simple and (by modern standards) quite small. Diagonal 6.1" (91 cm²), a resolution of 720x1560, which gives 282 dpi. There is no increased refresh rate. But there is the possibility of working with gloves.
Here is an excellent battery, capacious. 5180 mAh. Charging is not fast, only 10 W.
The front camera has a resolution of 5 MP. The rear camera looks double, but the manufacturer is suspiciously silent about the second eye. Looks like a prop. The main camera is made on the sensor Sony IMX258 already in 2015, so I wouldn’t expect much from it. Although, oddly enough, the manufacturer focuses on the camera. Like, everything is nice here, this and that, the fifth, tenOh, and even photo processing - from ArcSoft itself.
Other. There is an NFC module, but there does not seem to be a fingerprint scanner. Wi-Fi dual band. What type of USB is used is not specified.
At the start of sales, from September 14 to September 18, Blackview BV5200 will cost only $99.99 (₽6830). Then the price, it seems, will increase exactly twice. But this is inaccurate, you understand.
