Announcement. Cubot P60 is a reasonably solid budget smartphone
Cubot company has shown the world its view of what a modern budget smartphone should be like. Hundred dollar. Even a little less than a hundred dollars. Of course, one should not expect any special revelations from such devices. But the set of compromises turned out to be curious. We were not greedy with memory and battery.
So, Cubot P60. In order.
The chipset is named MT6765 in the specification. Whether we are talking about the 2018 chip MediaTek Helio P35 MT6765 or its improved version of 2020 MediaTek Helio G35 MT6765G, it’s hard to say. In any case,The smartphone will not particularly please anyone with its driving. A little over a hundred thousand points in AnTuTu.
But everything is fine with memory. 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. There is support for memory cards, but the slot is hybrid.
The screen is simple, although large in a modern way - 6.52" (103 cm²). Low resolution 720x1600 (269 ppi), no increased refresh rate.
The battery is capacious, 5000 mAh. Charging speed is not reported. 10 W at best.
Don't expect anything from cameras. The front has a resolution of 8 MP. The rear module is formally double, 20 + 0.3 MP. Main camera sensor- Samsung ISOCELL 2T7 2018, which was originally intended as a sensor for front cameras. Moreover, the Kubots themselves put it in a pair of their smartphones in frontal cameras. And, it seems, there was a small reserve left ...
There's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Type-C. No NFC module.
Cubot P60 has already appeared in the Cubot brand store on AliExpress. The start of sales is scheduled for September 19. The price pleases, only $89.99 (₽6140).
