Honor has announced a smartphone in its native China, which we will probably call Honor Magic5 Ultimate. In the original language, the name is written in hieroglyphs and looks like this: 荣耀Magic5 至臻版. Automatic translators, in fact, give two options. Either Ultimate Edition or Prestige Edition. Which do you prefer?

It is difficult to call it a new Honor Magic5 Ultimate smartphone. This is the older (in terms of memory) version of the Honor Magic5 Pro, dressed in vegan leather. Plus, they added buns to the delivery set. Case. And also USB-headphones, it seems. And the price toof course, they raised it.

About the characteristics.

Let's start with the cameras. The blessing Honor Magic5 Pro is the current leader of the Dxomark rating. Well, since Ultimate is no worse... I wonder if they will push it into the same rating too?

The front camera has a resolution of 12 MP. Plus, there is an additional 3D depth sensor, because of which a hefty cutout had to be made in the screen.

There are three rear cameras. Main, telephoto 3.5X, wide angle. 50+50+50 MP. The main camera and the telephoto have optical stabilization.

The presence of a mighty bunch of auxiliary sensors is declared��c. Here and 3D ToF, and a color temperature meter, and a flicker sensor.

Screen. LTPO OLED, 10-bit, up to 120Hz refresh rate. Large, 6.81" (114 cm²). 1312x2848 tall (460 ppi).

The battery is capacious, 5450 mAh. Wired charging is fast, though not a record - 66 watts. There is also wireless charging - 50 W.

Iron. Top chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Other. Of course, there is an NFC module, Wi-Fi 6. Of course, there is no support for memory cards and a standard audio output. There is protection against water and dust according to the class IP68.

And about money.

Honor Magic5 Ultimate will cost¥6699 (₽73100, $969) for the only 16+512GB variant available.

For comparison, Honor Magic5 Pro with the same amount of memory is sold in China for ¥6199 (₽67700, $897). Is vegan skin (even if it's orange) worth the extra charge? Not sure.
