Announcement. Honor Play 20a - modest Chinese smartphone
A simple Honor Play 20a smartphone has been spotted in distant China. In the original, its name is written in hieroglyphs - 荣耀畅玩20a. There is another spelling - with "dog" instead of a letter, and even in the form of an index, i.e. like this: 荣耀畅玩20@.
This is a light update of the Honor Play 20 smartphone announced a year and a half ago. We updated the software to a fresh one, did not give a choice in terms of the amount of memory - they left only one modification. And they also replaced the chipset.
There was a Unisoc Tiger T610, now a slightly more recent MediaTek Helio G85. Productivitygrew up a bit. In AnTuTu, I predict 200-250 thousand points.
6 GB RAM. Permanent memory 128 GB. There is support for memory cards.
The screen is simple. IPS-matrix with a diagonal of 6.52 "(103 cm²). The resolution is low, 720x1600 (269 ppi). There is no increased refresh rate.
The battery has a good capacity, 5000 mAh, but there is no fast charging, only the standard 10 W.
It's sad with the cameras. Single front camera with a resolution of 5 MP. The rear camera is dual, 13 + 2 MP.
No NFC module, no 5G. Apparently, there is also no fingerprint scanner. What is unusual and incomprehensibleClearly, there is no dual-band Wi-Fi. As a rule, Helio G85 smartphones have it.
The price is still unknown, but obviously it shouldn't be expensive. The ancestor Honor Play 20 is currently on sale in China for ¥999 (₽7980, $139) for a version with the same amount of memory. I suspect the price will be similar here.
