Honor has announced its new smartphone Honor Play 40 Plus (aka 荣耀畅玩40 Plus, aka Honor Changwan 40 Plus) in China >). Inexpensive smartphone with a capacious battery and support for 5G networks.

The newcomer is very similar to last year's Honor Play 30 Plus, only it has a 20% smaller battery and a weaker main camera (only 13 MP).

Honor Play 30 Plus

About the characteristics.

The chipset is the last year's super popular MediaTek Dimensity 700. In AnTuTu we are waiting for 300-350 thousand points. This chipset is still quite capable of a decent average level.

RAM 6 or 8GB. Permanent memory - 128 or 256 GB. About support for memory cards on the official website do not write. Apparently, she is not here.

The screen is rather big, 6.74".

The battery is excellent, 6000 mAh. Charging is fast, though not outrageously, like modern flagships. But still, 22.5 W is very, very good.

The set of cameras is quite trivial. 50 + 2 MP - main camera and depth sensor. The front camera is also one of the simplest - 5 MP.

In what bands of LTE and 5G is our Honor smartem work, not reported. There is no NFC module. No, apparently, and a gyroscope. But there is Type-C and dual-band Wi-Fi.

The prices are humane. ¥1199 (₽10100, $165), ¥1399 (₽11800, $192) and ¥1599 (₽13500, $220) for 6+128, 8+128 and 8+256 GB respectively.
