Announcement. Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G - the first smartphone based on Helio G99
I wonder if Infinix marketers have some problems with arithmetic? Or do they just really like the number 12? How else can you explain the fact that the name of half of the smartphones of this manufacturer for 2022 begins with "Infinix Note 12"?
Meet Infinix Note 12 Pro. But, of course, to avoid confusion, it is better to call this smartphone Infinix Note 12 Pro 4G.
We have before us the debut of the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset announced in May this year, made using 6 nm technology. Apparently, this is a copy of the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip with cut off support for 5G networks. You can� remember two more close chips - this is MediaTek Helio G96 (12 nm, no 5G) and MediaTek Dimensity 700 (7 nm, there is 5G). There are no performance statistics yet. But, if you look at related chips, then in AnTuTu you can expect 300-350 thousand points. Quite a reasonable average.
By the way, the Dimensity 810 is used in the sister smartphone Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G. And in general, the devices are very similar in many respects. Identical screens and batteries, camera sets are close. Only the appearance is different. Moreover, it is unlikely that you will be able to buy this very Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G somewhere - for now it is dosstupid only in India.
To the characteristics.
The memory is fine. 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. And there is even support for memory cards.
The screen, like other models of the Note 12 series (except Note 12i), is equipped with a 6.7" (108 cm²) AMOLED matrix. The resolution is good, 1080x2400 (393 ppi). Higher screen refresh rate no.
The battery is capacious, 5000 mAh. Charging is moderately fast - 33 W.
The front camera is standard, 16 MP. The main rear camera has a resolution of 108 MP. Announced 1/1.67" sensor size. Probably Samsung ISOCELL HM6The pixel size doesn't match. The remaining two cameras are of little interest - a depth sensor and proprietary AI Lens.
There is support for NFC, Type-C, a fifth Wi-Fi, a side fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers.
Curiously, the announcement of the smartphone took place not just anywhere, but on AliExpress. If you manage to get a seller's coupon, the price for you will be about $200 (₽12800).
