Photo Announcement. Kyocera Digno Keitai 4 - a phone that can record conversations after the fact

A couple of days ago, a push-button flip phone named Kyocera Digno Keitai 4 was announced in distant Japan - or, if you write its name in hieroglyphs, then Kyocera Digno ケータイ4. (In general, the characters "ケータイ" are translated into Russian as "mobile phone", and "keitai" is their conditional transliteration).

Or is Digno 4 a smartphone? Although no. Full-fledged "smartfonnost", like, is not declared. Although in terms of power, the device is quite capable of being such a weak smartphone. But, in this case, the characteristics of this device are not so interesting, withif various cool chips.

In particular, the ability to record calls after the fact. Those. you are talking to someone. We decided that you need to keep this bell as a keepsake. After the end of the conversation, they poked the right button - voila, the record is saved. Those. it is clear that the phone simply records everything, and then stupidly demolishes the unnecessary, but I really like the elegance of this approach.

One more feature. If the same person calls you and you do not answer, then each subsequent call will be louder. (I wonder if this can be disabled?)

Customizable physical buttons on which you can hang different actions. A hole through which you can thread a rope. Well, etc.

The rest of the chips are not so curious and more familiar, but, in relation to a push-button telephone, inspire respect.

  • The ability to distribute mobile Internet via Wi-Fi (the device has support for LTE networks).
  • Water and dust resistant IP58. Moreover, the smartphone is officially allowed to be washed with soap and wiped with alcohol-containing cloths.
  • Ten MIL-STD-810H compliance tests - including drop test on steel plate, vibration, temperature, etc.

More of the curious. There is a version of Digno 4 "for business" - it is without a camera.

Now for the boring specs.

Chipset MediaTek Helio A22. Those. if our device was a smartphone, then it would score under one hundred thousand points in AnTuTu.

Only 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. Battery with a capacity of 1500 mAh. The camera is up to 8 MP. Type-C, Bluetooth version 5.1.

There are two screens.

The main one has a diagonal of 3.4" (32 cm²) - i.e. in area it is about a third of the screen withtemporary smartphone. The type of matrix used is not named. I would like to believe that it is still not TFT-TN. The resolution is supposedly 480x854 (288 ppi).

The second, external screen is OLED, diagonal 0.9". It displays the time, information about missed calls-messages. During calls, information about who is calling is clearly displayed. Perhaps something else.

Price information is nowhere to be seen yet.
