Photo Announcement. Kyocera Digno SX3 - another Japanese corporate smartphone

Last week, a brand new Kyocera Android One S10 smartphone was announced in Japan. In the comments under my then news, Oleg Lazarev from Mobiltelefon wrote:

Oh. Curious. Kyosera's budget 5G platform moved from Snapdragon 480 (DuraSport, Digno BX2, Digno Sanga, Android One S9, Anshin Sumaho) on Dimensity 700. We are now waiting for five versions with different cameras under different names on the new chip?)

And how he looked into the water. Meet the Kyocera Digno SX3! Indeed, they played with the cameras. The battery also has a slightly larger capacity. But by and large, of course, smartphones are very close.

So.

The precepts of Japanese smartphone manufacturers are sacred. So, of course, the smartphone is secure. IP68 - you can bathe. Plus, in plain text it is recommended to wash your smartphone with soap and even wipe it with alcohol.

The Digno SX3 does not look like an armored car. However, MIL-STD-810H conformance is claimed. Moreover, if in the case of S10 only a single test "Mechanical shock and fall" was mentioned, then here it is said about twenty passed tests.

To the hardware characteristics.

The screen is small, onlyabout 6.1 "(90 cm²). The seemingly standard resolution of 1080x2400 gives as much as 431 dpi on such a diagonal. There is no increased refresh rate. Operation with gloves is supported.

The super popular MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. So we have support for 5G networks and 300-350 thousand points in AnTuTu. There is not much memory - 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory (there is support for memory cards, of course).

The battery is not too big, only 4500 mAh (versus 4380 mAh for S10). I didn’t see anything about the charging speed of information (35 W for S10).

The cameras are simple and single. 8 M each front and rear (S10 has a dual rear camera, 16+16 MP).

Other. There is Type-C, a fifth Wi-Fi, a rear fingerprint scanner, eSIM support, an NFC module.

From the curious. There is support for WiMAX 2+. Remember this one too?

More of the curious. It says that Kyocera Digno SX3 can work as a Wi-Fi repeater.

I don't see any price information yet.
