Announcement. Lenovo Yoga Paper - a large reader with a stylus
Lenovo has decided to join the host of manufacturers of readers (electronic books). A device under the simple name Lenovo Yoga Paper has been announced in China.
Yoga Paper - a classic large "almost tablet" with a stylus included. In particular, there are a lot of such devices in the Onyx portfolio. Of those sold in Russia, we can recall, for example, Onyx Boox Note Air 2 Plus. (Yoga Paper is not a twin, of course, but many characteristics are very close).
So. Lenovo has not yet wanted to reveal the specifications for one hundred percentin. But all the basics, nevertheless, are already known.
Let's start with the screen. Diagonal 10.3" (329 cm²). That is, the device is large and is intended not only for absorbing content (i.e. reading), but also for editing. Taking notes, drawing, etc.
Permission not officially named. But, with a 95% probability, it will be 1404x1872 (227 ppi) here. Just because all readers of this size have it exactly like that.
Electronic ink is regular, not color. Those. "grayscale". The screen is obviously touch sensitive. Most likely, a standard technique is used with two separate sensory layers.and - for the stylus and for fingers. There is a backlight with adjustable color temperature.
The chipset is rare, Rockchip RK3566. It is formally positioned as a chip for set-top boxes, but I have already met it several times in e-books (Xiaomi respects it). Performance is low. What can you expect from four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores? Almost nothing. I don't have AnTuTu data for this chipset. But I suspect that it would hardly be more than a hundred thousand points.
Memory. By the standards of readers on Android, the amount of memory is quite decent. 4 GB RAMout, 64 GB permanent. Support for memory cards is not mentioned.
Battery medium, 3550 mAh
Internet access - via Wi-Fi, of course. (Most likely Wi-Fi 5). There is support for Bluetooth - version 5.2.
And about money. The Lenovo Yoga Paper will cost ¥2699 (₽23700, $384) at launch. If the indicated price also includes a case with a stylus, then it seems that the offer is very tasty. It's a pity it's far from us.
