The Motorola Edge smartphone, which the manufacturer calls Motorola Edge Gen 3, is presented in Far Abroad. Well, in the news and reviews it is usually called Motorola Edge (2022).

The problem is that we don't yet know either the cost of the smartphone or the performance of its hardware.

Yes, we have a debut. The debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset. Judging by the characteristics (2 Cortex-A78 cores, 6 Cortex-A55 cores, GPU Mali-G610 MC3), we have something like a confident middle class. But I won’t undertake to predict how much the device can score in the usual AnTuTu. Well, as the main feature of the newThis chip is presented with its ability to work in mmWave networks - it is the first one from MediaTek.

The memory is fine. On board 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory. There is no support for memory cards.

Screen. They promise a billion colors (10 bits) and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. OLED-matrix with a diagonal of 6.6 "(105 cm²). The usual resolution, 1080x2400 (399 ppi).

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. Charging is fast, but not very - only 30 watts. But wireless charging is supported - 15 W.

The set of cameras is not at all top-end, but quite suitable for a mid-range smartphone�ssa. Front camera with a resolution of 32 MP. And the rear trio 50+13+2. The main camera is equipped with optical stabilization. The sensor is most likely OmniVision OV50A. The wide-angle camera can also take macro shots. Well, the third camera is, of course, a depth sensor.

There is an NFC module and a barometer. The fingerprint scanner is built into the screen.

So, based on the totality of available information, yes, it seems that we have a confident middle class here with no claims to anything more.

The smartphone has already been issued to reviewers, there are several first glances. I hide them under cat.
