Photo Announcement. Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is an expensive twin for non-Chinese

Motorola announced several smartphones last night. This news is about Motorola Edge 30 Fusion.

Nothing is new under the sun. As far as I can see, the new Fusion is a copy of the Moto S30 Pro announced in China last month. Unless only the "Chinese" has a more modest set of colors. And perhaps the frequency sets are different.

Flagship chipset. But not modern, but last year's - Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+. Which means that in AnTuTu the smartphone will gain around 800 thousand points.

Memory. I see a variety8+128 GB for Europe and 8+256 GB for Brazil. The news also writes about the 12 + 256 GB and 12 + 512 GB versions (the Chinese counterpart has these), but I did not find official confirmation for this. No memory card support.

6.55" (104 cm²) POLED screen with a resolution of 1080x2400 (402 ppi). Ultra-high refresh rate, up to 144 Hz. Everything is fine - but why did they round it from the sides like that?

Medium capacity battery, 4400 mAh. Charging is fast, but far from records - 68 watts. However, they promise a 50% charge in just 10 minutes. Not bad.

Reinforced front cameraera - as much as 32 MP, and even with autofocus. The set of rear cameras is not particularly impressive, but there is optical stabilization. 50 + 13 + 2 MP - main, wide-angle (it can also work as a macro camera), and a depth sensor. The sensor of the main camera, presumably, is the same as that of the "Chinese" - OmniVision OV50A.

The fingerprint scanner is hidden under the screen. There is NFC, stereo speakers, latest Wi-Fi, Type-C... No standard audio output.

About the sad, about the price. In Europe, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion will start at €599.99 (₽36400, $599) for the 8+128GB version. In Brazil - 4499 reais (₽52400, $861) for version 8+256 GB.

For comparison, Moto S30 Pro in native China costs ¥1999 (₽17500, $287), ¥2499 (₽21800, $359) and ¥2699 (₽23600, $388) for 8+ varieties 128, 12+256 and 12+512 GB respectively.
