ZTE has released another pair of gaming smartphones in its native China under the Nubia brand - Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+.

ZTE Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro

(I feel a catch. Previous generations of top Nubias were also produced in pairs, but there were no "pros" there. More precisely, there were, but in "neighboring", less powerful lines).

Probably, we can assume that we have a planned update of the couple announced this summer Nubia Red Magic 7S and Nubia Red Magic 7S Pro. Updated hardware and cameras, played with batteries.

The difference between Pro and Pro+ is differentare, by and large, only batteries. Well, the amount of memory.

Iron. Naturally, the most powerful chipset available on the market, ie. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. An over-the-top cooling system and some auxiliary additional branded R2 chip are mentioned.

Top memory, LPDDR5x and UFS4.0. For convenience, let's put the amount of memory and prices into a table right away. Traditionally, both devices have partially transparent (Transparent) versions. They are a little more expensive.

The screens seem to be the same as in the summer Red Magic 7S Pro. AMOLED matrix, diagonal 6.8 "(112 cm²), high resolution 1116x2480 (400 ppi), refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Interestingly, in the second (younger) summer smartphone, in Red Magic 7S refresh rate, up to 165 Hz.

Battery capacity, compared to summer smartphones, has grown. Was 5000 mAh and 4500 mAh��, became 6000 mAh and 5000 mAh. As usual, for a younger smartphone, Red Magic 8 Pro has a larger battery (6000mAh) but slower charging (80W). Accordingly, Red Magic 8 Pro+ has a smaller battery (5000 mAh), but charging is almost a record (165 W). 35 and 14 minutes to fully charge from zero to one hundred percent, respectively.

Cameras. The composition of the chambers remained the same, but the main module was changed. 16 MP in front (moreover, the front camera is hidden under the screen). 50 + 8 + 2 MP rear - main camera, wide-angle, macro.

The main camera sensor has been changed from Samsung ISOCELL GW3 (64 MP) to a largerSamsung ISOCELL GN5. So, in theory, despite the smaller number of megapixels, the quality of the pictures should grow up a little.

Other. There is a standard audio output, support for 5G networks, an NFC module, Wi-Fi 6E. Fingerprint scanners are located under the screens.

With game gadgets, everything is relatively standard. Powerful vibration motor, stereo speakers, trigger keys

In China, smartphones will be on sale any day. It is not clear when to expect a global announcement.
