Onyx continues to develop its lineup. We meet another improvement - the Onyx Boox Livingstone 2.

Its predecessor, Onyx Boox Livingstone, was announced back in 2019. A standard six-inch ink reader, but with an unusual case - with Side Control support - i.e. There are buttons on the case for turning pages. And, of course, there are special contacts on the reader itself to contact the case.

The new model Onyx Boox Livingstone 2 is externally identical to its predecessor, has the same appearance and the same dimensions. Judging by Therefore, the screen has not changed either. But the iron filling was replaced. They put a different chipset, increased the amount of memory, updated Android.

If we continue the topic of relatives, then we must also mention a very fresh reader Onyx Boox Darwin 9. That, on the contrary, has a different appearance and built-in paging buttons. But the iron filling (as well as the screen) in it, apparently, is exactly the same as in Livingstone 2.

To the characteristics.

Onyx Boox Livingstone 2 - a classic six-inch (111 cm²) reader with a high-resolution touch screen and convenient buttonsmi for paging.

The brand of the chipset has not been officially named. I suppose that, like in many other Onyx readers, it uses Qualcomm QCS2290.

Memory. 2 GB of operational, 16 GB of permanent - a very decent amount by the standards of readers. Plus there is support for memory cards.

As an operating systemStems here we have Android 11. Compared to Android 4.4 KitKat, which is used in Onyx Boox Livingstone, this is a hoo progress.

The battery is excellent, 3000 mAh. Even with the backlight, it will last for a long time.

Of the additional features, we can note the Wi-Fi module and the presence of Bluetooth. If desired, you can use it to connect a speaker or headphones.

The kit comes with the aforementioned cover-cover with buttons, but there is no charger - only a USB cord (Type-C).
