In India, a budget smartphone Realme C33 has appeared on sale. Nothing interesting, except for the curious appearance and one other little thing. Well... Not that very interesting, but at least something.

The main camera of the smartphone uses the Hynix Hi-5021S sensor. And, it seems, this is the first use of this sensor in smartphone cameras. Although nothing is certain. Often, manufacturers simply forget to tell us such trifles. Or even shuffle sensors from one batch of smartphones to another.

Hynix Hi-5021S is pretty fresh. How much am II could unearth, it dates from the fall of 2021. Resolution 50 MP. Matrix size - 1/2.55". That is, this is one of the smallest matrices for fifty-fifty cameras. Competitor for the super popular Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. That is, if you have met a cheap smartphone with a 50 matrix before MP - well, that means there is JN1.But now everything is not so clear.

Back to the smartphone.

Chipset Unisoc T612, so in AnTuTu we expect around 200 thousand points. 3 or 4 GB of RAM, from 32 to 128 GB of permanent memory. Persistent memory is quite fast - UFS 2.2.

Shell screencue. Diagonal 6.5 "(102 cm²), low resolution 720x1600 (270 ppi). There is no increased refresh rate, but the sensor polling rate is overclocked to 120 Hz.

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. Charging is slow, 10 W.

The front camera is quite simple, 5 MP. The rear camera is double, but the second module is purely for show - something with a resolution of 0.3 MP. Well, the first module, as I said, is 50 MP.

From the good. There is a side fingerprint scanner, a standard audio output, a separate slot for a memory card.

From the bad. No NFC. Obsolete Micro-USB and single-diameterRegional Wi-Fi.

It costs Realme C33, of course, inexpensive. ₹8999 (₽6840, $112) and ₹9999 (₽7600, $125) for the 3+32 and 4+64 GB versions, respectively. How much the older version 4 + 128 GB will be sold has not yet been announced.
