Photo Announcement. Sonim XP10 - armored car smartphone for Far Abroad

Long forgotten in our market, but still quite existing, Sonim presented a smartphone-armored car called Sonim XP10 in the Far Abroad. If I'm not mistaken, this is their first smartphone since 2020.

Protection. Quite traditionally, IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H are promised (without a detailed list of passed tests). Plus, some non-flammability classes I, II, III ("Non-Incendive Class I, II, and III") are declared.

Iron filling is quite traditional for modern low-cost Android smartphones.

Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Pro which means AnTuTu seeThe phone will score around 300,000 points. 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage. There is support for memory cards.

Screen. Frames are wide. The proportions are out of date. In addition, by today's standards, the screen is frankly small. It has a diagonal of only 5.5 "(78 cm²). And there is no increased refresh rate. But it is covered with a completely modern Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass. The resolution is standard, 1080x2160. But at such a small size, it gives as much as 439 dpi.

The battery is good, 5000 mAh. Charging speed not announced. Supported wirelesscharging, but again of incomprehensible speed.

Cameras. Everything is pretty simple. 8 MP front, 50+8 MP rear (main camera and wide-angle).

There is support for 5G networks, there is an NFC module, dual-band Wi-Fi and Type-C. And even a barometer.

A fingerprint scanner is also included. Where? Most likely, this is that oblong button that we can see under the screen.

From the curious. Promised very loud speakers (more than 100 dB). There is a separate hefty button for PTT. They promise a three-year warranty.

The strange connector on the right side is called Sonim SecureAudioConnector.

It serves to connect any special stray like this.

Klein VALOR Remote Speaker Microphone

The Sonim XP10 will be sold by AT&T. The price at the start of sales is $569.99 (₽34400).
