Photo Announcement. Tablet Honor Pad 8 - guess the screen size?

Honor has announced its first tablet this year in its native China. I called it unpretentiously, Honor Pad 8. Which, of course, is quite logical. Given that it has a twelve-inch screen. On the other hand, last year's Honor Pad 7 had a 10.1" screen... So maybe there is some logic in this mess.

As you already understood, our tablet is huge. But it is not particularly heavy - only 520 grams.

The iron filling is closer to state employees than to flagships. The chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, so we expect around 250 thousand points in AnTuTu.

Memory. Operational - 4 or 6 GB. Permanent - always 128 GB. No memory card support.

The screen has a diagonal of 12". That is, its area is 410 cm². This is about four times larger than the average modern smartphone. The resolution seems to be high, 2000x1200, but on such a diagonal it gives only 194 ppi No increased refresh rate.

The battery has a capacity of 7250 mAh. The time for a full charge with a native charger (22.5 W) is just over two hours.

Cameras are purely for show. 5 MP each in front and behind.

No mobile internet support - internet access only via Wi-Fi. They promise good and loud speakers. Whether there is a GPS module is not specified.

The price is humane. ¥1399 (₽11400, $208) and ¥1799 (₽14700, $268) for 4+128GB and 6+128GB versions respectively. This is if without a stylus. If you take it immediately with the Magic Pencil stylus, the price will rise to ¥1948 (₽15900, $290) and ¥2348 (₽19200, $349), respectively.
