The collection of smartphones from TCL has been replenished with the model TCL 40 SE.

The newcomer is very similar to the TCL 30 / TCL 30+ pair announced a year ago, but with one significant difference. More precisely, simplification. Instead of an AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and a low refresh rate, they put a "regular" (read - IPS) screen of a lower resolution, but with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. Otherwise, the devices are plus or minus identical up to the amount of memory. (And the TCL 30+ has a slightly better front camera).

Chipset MediaTek Helio G37, so you can't expect high performance from a smartphone. We focus on one hundred thousand points in AnTuTu with a small tail. Those. by modern standards, a smartphone does not pull more than a budget level.

Memory. RAM is not very much - 4 or 6 GB. But they didn’t become greedy with a constant - 128 or 256 GB. Plus there is support for memory cards. (TCL 30 has 4+64 GB, TCL 30+ has 4+128 GB).

The screen is large, 6.75" (110 cm²). The resolution is modest, 720x1600 (260 ppi). The refresh rate, as I said, is up to 90 Hz.

Standard battery, 5010 mAh. �Charging is a little accelerated - 18 W.

The set of cameras is the simplest. 8 MP front, 50+2+2 MP rear. (Main, macro, depth sensor).

There is Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. NFC-module will be, but not in all countries.

I don't see any information on how much TCL 40 SE will cost yet.
