Photo Announcement. Tecno Pova Neo 5G is a very inexpensive smartphone for India

Tecno introduced the Tecno Pova Neo 5G smartphone in India. The device is quite inexpensive, only ₹15499 (₽11700, $195). As expected, some compromises had to be made. But, in general, it turned out quite curious.

(It makes no sense to compare the beginner with the namesake Tecno Pova Neo 4G. They only have the same batteries).

Last year's MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset is still quite fresh and cheerful. In AnTuTu, you can hope for 350-400 thousand points, i.e. confident middle class.

Greedy with RAM. It is only 4 GB (although, of course, 7 B - including 3 GB of theoretically possible cache). With permanent memory, everything is fine, its 128 GB. Plus there is support for memory cards.

The screen for such money is simply magical. Diagonal 6.8" (110 cm²), good resolution 1080x2460 (395 ppi), high refresh rate - up to 120 Hz.

The battery didn't disappoint either. Capacitive - 6000 mAh. And even charging is slightly accelerated - 18 W.

But from the cameras, apparently, one should not expect much. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP. The rear camera is dual - the main module is 50 MP and proprietary AI Lens of microscopic resolution.

NFC-There is no module. There is a side fingerprint scanner, Type-C and dual-band Wi-Fi. Well, support for 5G networks, of course, is also available.
