Reader Tolino Shine 4 has appeared on sale in Germany.
Apparently, we have before us an almost exact copy of the Kobo Clara 2E reader announced in early September. The same appearance and dimensions, the same protection against water (but not against dust) according to the IPX8 class. Even the same song about a case made from recycled plastic. However, there seems to be a serious difference.
Officially, the brand of the Kobo Clara 2E chipset is not named. It seems to be something dual-core called Freescale Solo Lite. And the official frequency of the chipset is 1 GHz.
About chipsno, what is in Tolino Shine 4, everything is known. This is a special "reader" chip Allwinner B300 with a frequency of 1.8 GHz. So the chipsets of the readers are definitely different. As different and the amount of RAM. 512 MB for Kobo Clara 2E and 1 GB for Tolino Shine 4.
More serious differences are not visible. Is it unclear if Tolino has the Bluetooth support that Kobo has.
