Almost two months ago, Ulefone announced a very impressive armored smartphone Ulefone Power Armor 18T. The screen, battery, hardware, cameras - everything is at a very decent level. And, as a cherry on the cake, a thermal camera (not to be confused with an infrared night vision camera).

Today, a slightly simpler smartphone called Ulefone Power Armor 18 was announced.

Everything is the same, only instead of a thermal camera, a regular wide-angle camera and... a thermometer were put in the camera block. They say you can measure the temperature �Organisms, objects and even the surrounding air. For organisms, they promise an accuracy of 0.2C. Well I do not know. Hard to believe.

Naturally, Power Armor 18 is a rugged smartphone. IP68, IP69K. And MIL-STD even upgraded a bit compared to its predecessor - from MIL-STD-810G to MIL-STD-810H. There are no special details about protection. But, it seems, it is allowed to take pictures under water.

The word "Power" in the name, as we are used to, speaks of a capacious battery. 9600 mAh, i.e. about twice as much as the average modern smartphone. WiredI charge fast to obscene - 66 watts. There is also wireless charging, but it is slower - 15 W.

It is clear that a smartphone with such a battery and with "armor" cannot be easy. 409 grams.

The iron filling is more than solid. And then all the previous creations of Ulefone this year were dull to the point of obscenity. They immediately became generous with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset, which means both support for 5G networks and decent performance - 400-450 thousand points in AnTuTu, or even more.

Memory was not spared either. 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. And there is even a�memory card support.

The screen is also good. Large - 6.58" (104 cm²). High resolution - 1080x2408 (401 ppi). Refresh rate - up to 120 Hz.

Cameras.

The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP. The sensor is Samsung ISOCELL GD1. Not the latest, 2018. But until last year it was used by very serious manufacturers like Vivo.

There are three rear cameras, 108+8+5 MP.

• 108 MP main camera with Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor. A solid sensor, though not the largest. It is found in many mid-range Xiaomi smartphones.
• 8 MP is an unremarkable wide-angle camera.
• 5 MP is a macro camera, which is called a microscope. Even with autofocus. What is there with the quality, it is not very clear.

Other. There is an NFC module, Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi and a side fingerprint scanner.

About prices. In the official Ulefone store at their official website for Ulefone Power Armor 18 asking $529 (₽33400) (no delivery to Russia). For comparison, Ulefone Power Armor 18T costs the same place as much as $699.99 (₽44200).

On AliExpress Power Armor 18 has not appeared yet. And his ancestor is now you can buy there for $519.99 (₽36300). So, logically, at the launch sale, you canPay somewhere around $399.99 (₽27900). Or not?
