Vivo launched a smartphone called Vivo iQOO Z7i in its native China. And this is the world's first smartphone based on the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset.
We need to say a few words about Dimensity 6020. Surprisingly, this chipset, in its characteristics, is like two drops of water similar to the super-popular Dimensity 700 born in 2020. The only difference visible to the naked eye is the declared support for screens with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Which, however, for some reason is indicated in the specifications as "optional". I wonder what they meant?
So we don't expect anything from the chipset. AnTuTu will have the same 300-350 thousand points as the progenitor. And, of course, there is support for 5G networks.
If we ignore the chipset, then we will find that Vivo iQOO Z7i is almost an exact copy of smartphones Vivo Y53t 5G, Vivo Y35m 5G and Vivo Y35 5G. Only this trinity has the same chipset - the same related Dimensity 700, the colors are slightly different, and the screen refresh rate is lower...
Screen refresh rate is a funny thing, by the way. For the old trinity, it is only the standard 60 Hz (although the chipset supports90 Hz). And the beginner has 90 Hz (although the chipset "optionally" supports 120 Hz). They are so mysterious, yes.
About other characteristics.
Memory. From 4 to 8 GB operational, 128 GB permanent. There is support for memory cards.
Standard IPS screen. Diagonal 6.51 "(102 cm²), resolution 720x1600 (270 ppi). I already mentioned the refresh rate - 90 Hz.
The battery is the most common - 5000 mAh. Slightly accelerated charging - 15 W.
The set of cameras is the simplest. 5 MP front, 13+2 MP rear.
There is support for 5G networks, there is Type-C and dual-band Wi-Fi. The fingerprint scanner is located �side. No NFC module and no support for our LTE bands.
The cost of Vivo iQOO Z7i will be quite inexpensive. ¥949 (₽10300, $136), ¥999 (₽10900, $143) and ¥1099 (₽12000, $158) for 4+128, 6+128 and 8+128 GB versions respectively.
