Initially focused on Europe, Wiko continues to expand the geography of sales of its smartphones. You may have noticed that they even began to be sold here in Russia. And in China too. Surprising, but that's it. Usually Chinese manufacturers move towards us. And here - on the contrary.

First, Wiko brought a couple of her old models to China. And now (a couple of days ago) in China, a smartphone with the uncomplicated name Wiko 5G was announced. And... Mask, I know you!

In March of this year, Huawei launched (globally) smartphonesn nova 9 SE. Middle class without support for 5G networks and on Android. Sold, including, and we have in Russia. (We remember that Huawei is banned and cannot release smartphones with 5G, right?)

In April, and no longer globally, but locally in China, a device appeared on sale under a confusingly similar name Hi nova 9 SE. Already with 5G support and not on Android, but on HarmonyOS. Accordingly, I had to install another chipset. But otherwise - an exact copy of Huawei nova 9 SE.

And now Wiko 5G is going on sale there in China. Slightly different colors, dropletshave a different design. But otherwise we have an exact copy of Hi nova 9 SE. And also on HarmonyOS.

About the characteristics. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset found in Huawei nova 9 SE has been replaced with a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 695 (350-400 thousand points in AnTuTu) . 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory. No memory card support.

The battery is not particularly large, only 4000 mAh. But charging is fast - 66W.

IPS screen. Large, 6.78" (111 cm²). High resolution - 1080x2388 (387 ppi). Refresh rate - up to 120 Hz.

There are a lot of cameras, but the set is rather trivial. 16 MP front, 108+8+2+2MP behind. The main sensor appears to be Samsung ISOCELL HM2.

There is no NFC module. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side. Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi - that's all right.

I did not find official information about the cost of Wiko 5G. In Chinese news, they write about ¥1999 (₽20300, $284) and ¥2199 (₽22300, $313) for the 8+128 and 8+256 GB versions, respectively.
