Announcement. Xiaomi 12 Pro is a big flagship

Photo Announcement. Xiaomi 12 Pro is a big flagship

Today, Xiaomi at home in China introduced a series of three very serious smartphones. Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro (Snapdragon) - in ascending order of severity and price.

This news is dedicated to the older device of the trinity, Xiaomi 12 Pro (Snapdragon). About the remaining two I will make a separate news, one for two - since they are, in fact, twins.

So. Xiaomi 12 Pro. Big, serious, flagship smartphone. It's worth starting with the fact that it is made on the most powerful chipset currently available, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. So in AnTuTu we are waiting in the region of ma million parrots.

There is a lot of memory, but it cannot be said that it is prohibitively large. 8 or 12 GB RAM. 128 or 256 GB permanent. In general, the logic asks to add a variety of 12 + 512 GB. Maybe they'll release it later, I don't know. There is no support for memory cards. Given that the cameras here are serious and support 8K video recording, it hardly makes sense to limit yourself to the version with 128 GB of permanent memory.

Unlike other devices of the 12th series, Xiaomi 12 Pro (Snapdragon) has a large screen. Let's just say - the screen is already familiar in size. 6.73" high resolution LTPO AMOLEDeven 1440x3200 (521 ppi). Refresh rate - up to 120 Hz.

Battery. Average capacity, 4600 mAh. But charging is fast just outrageously, as much as 120 watts. Plus there is wireless charging. And it is also, to put it mildly, not slow - 50 W.

The front camera seems to be identical to those used in other smartphones in the series - 32 MP. But the rear set is seriously different. Three cameras, all three have the same 50 MP resolution. Main module (Sony IMX707), wide angle. And a TV. Modest, the increase gives only a twofold. But still a telephoto.

From sad - Perhaps a fingerprint scanner hidden under the screen.

Band 20 is missing from "our" LTE bands. Everything else seems to be in place.

Chinese prices are like that. ¥4699 (₽54000, $737), ¥4999 (₽57500, $784) and ¥5399 (₽62000, $847) for the 8+128, 8+256 and 12+256GB varieties respectively.

Already I see a smartphone on AliExpress. More expensive, of course. $899 (₽67400), $949 (₽71200) and $999 (₽74900) for the same versions. But keep in mind, this is a "Chinese", a native Chinese.
