Xiaomi has announced a couple of very budget smartphones Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+.

Redmi A2

The devices are almost identical. The only difference is the fingerprint scanner, which only the plus model has.

Redmi A2+

Iron. The debut of the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. I don't have any information about its performance yet. But since it, judging by the characteristics, is almost identical to the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset, then in AnTuTu we expect only a little more than a hundred thousand points.

Memory. 2 or 3 GB operative, 32 GB permanent. Of course, complete� Android is not put here, because it will not be enough. So there is only Android 12 Go Edition.

The screens are simple. Diagonal 6.52" (103 cm²), resolution is only 720x1600 (269 ppi), no increased refresh rate.

Batteries are standard, 5000 mAh. Charging is slow, only 10W.

Simple cameras. 5 MP front. 8 MP plus rear depth sensor.

There is no NFC module, Wi-Fi is single-band. USB - and that only Micro.

How much Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ will cost is still unclear.
