3. Announcement. ZTE Nubia Z50 Ultra - a serious flagship with an under-screen camera

ZTE has unveiled a flagship smartphone called the ZTE Nubia Z50 Ultra (aka 努比亚 Z50 Ultra) in its native China. Top iron, serious cameras. A signature feature is the frontal camera hidden under the screen (already the fourth generation of hidden cameras, by the way).

Getting acquainted.

The most powerful chipset available, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Far beyond a million points in AnTuTu.

Memory is fast and plenty of it. From 8 to 16 GB operative, from 256 GB to 1 TB permanent. No memory card support.

The screen is hefty. AMOLED-matrix with a diagonal of 6.8 "(112 cm²) and a resolution of 1116x2480 (400ppi). Refresh rate - up to 120 Hz.

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. Charging is fast, but far from a record - 80 watts. No wireless charging.

The front camera has a resolution of 16 MP and, as I said, is "hidden". There are no cutouts or holes in the screen.

There are three rear cameras - 64+64+50 MP.

• 64 MP - the main camera with optical stabilization on a customized version of the Sony IMX787 sensor (1/1.72").
• 64 MP - telephoto, also with optical stabilization.
• 50 MP - wide-angle camera, can also work as a macro camera.

The price for such characteristics does not look prohibitive. ¥3999 (₽43500, $576), ¥4299 (₽46800, $619), ¥4699 (₽51100, $677) and ¥5999 (₽65200, $864) for versions 8+256, 12+256, 12+512 and 16 +512 GB respectively.

A colorful version of Starry Night, inspired by Van Gogh's painting Starry Night, will cost ¥4999 (₽54400, $720) for the 12+512GB version.
