Time to get to know the Hisense Hi Reader Pro, an ink-screen smartphone that happens to be on sale in China a few days ago. In short, Hisense decided that they could also confuse everyone.

Hisense Hi Reader Pro

Curious, of course, guys. In all Mexico, under the Hisense brand, completely ordinary classic smartphones go on sale. As a rule, a very modest level. And in his native China, Hisense produces devices with ink screens.

History. In the spring of 2022, China went on saletwo interesting devices at once.

The first device is a Hisense A9 ink screen smartphone. Really the most ordinary smartphone. You can make calls on it, it has cameras, etc. But only it has an E-Ink screen with a diagonal of 6.1". That is, neither play toys nor watch videos.

Hisense A9

And the second device is the Hisense Hi Reader with again an inky screen, but a little larger - 6.7". No support for cellular networks, no earpiece, no cameras. A classic device for read and read-only, but stretched on a smartphonemanner. If classic readers have an aspect ratio of 12:9 (i.e. 4:3), then Hisense Hi Reader has an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Hisense Hi Reader

And now Hisense Hi Reader Pro is being announced. Logically, one would expect that we have an improved version of the Hisense Hi Reader reader. Moreover, the Chinese are actively comparing these two devices with each other. But no. In fact, we have a slightly worse version of the Hisense A9 smartphone.

In short, Hisense Hi Reader Pro is the same Hisense A9, but without cameras. I cannot reliably state that there are no other differences.t - the characteristics are a little incomplete. But I strongly suspect that they are not.

About the characteristics of Hisense Hi Reader Pro.

The screen has a diagonal of 6.1" (96 cm²). Classic electronic ink E-Ink Carta 1200. Not color, i.e. only 16 shades of gray. There is a backlight with adjustable color temperature. The exact resolution is not specified. 300 dpi i.e. something around 824x1648.

Iron. The chipset is called Qualcomm Snapdragon 662. Normal smartphones with this chip gain around 200 thousand points in AnTuTu.

Memory. 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Memory card supportapparently not. The Hisense A9 also has more memory variants, up to and including 8+256 GB.

The battery has a capacity of 4000 mAh, which by the standards of economical ink devices is not just decent, but very decent.

There are no cameras, as I said. (The Hisense A9 has simple single cameras - 5MP front, 13MP rear).

Other. There is support for LTE networks, there is dual-band Wi-Fi. The NFC module is not mentioned. Nothing is said about the fingerprint scanner - and the Hisense A9 had it. It is not clear if there is a GPS module (more likely than not).

Hisense Hi Reader Pro will cost ¥1699 (₽16800, $239) in China.
