Apple announced yesterday the day before yesterday the iPhone 14 family of smartphones. Like last year's thirteenth family, the current family consists of four devices: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As you can see, the "Mini" model has disappeared - that's it, no more small smartphones. Instead of "Mini" appeared "Plus". Which, in fact, would be much more logical to call iPhone 14 Max. See. In a nutshell, the main differences between the models are now:

I.e. two equally large smartphones (Plus and Max) and two equally small ones. Two are more powerful and more serious (Pro and Pro Max) and two are weaker. A very logical scheme, you can’t argue.

Not though. Not all. The fourteenth family was trained to send an SOS signal via satellites, i.e. when there is no mobile network in the vicinity. Apparently, while it will only work in America. And not right now, but since November. And, I suspect that this feature required not only "soft", but also "iron" efforts - improvements to antennas, etc. An interesting thing and very pcool, in my opinion, innovation. Another innovation for the US and some other countries is the complete absence of such an anachronism as a tray for a physical SIM card. e-SIM is our bright future, of course.

To the characteristics.

Chipsets. Last year's A15 Bionic for two younger models (700-800 thousand points in AnTuTu) and fresh A16 Bionic for two older ones. I'm sure his performance is also in order.

Memory. According to unofficial data, the younger models have 4 GB of RAM.ive memory. The older ones have 6 GB. Permanent memory from 128 to 512 GB for younger models and up to 1 TB for older ones.

The screens are called Super Retina XDR OLED. In older models, they are LTPO with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The younger models still have only the standard 60 Hz - just amazing. But - lo and behold - the older models finally got Always On!

All screens have a high resolution and approximately the same number of dots per inch. But, surprisingly, the resolutions of the models are still slightly, but different.

Older models got rid of the terrible ancient bangs. It was replaced by a strange "pill" ("dynamic island"), which Apple has learned to beautifully beat in its applications. The content of the "pill" is the same as that of the "bangs". Front camera, face recognition sensors.

Cameras. The number and essence of the cameras remained the same. The younger models have dual cameras, the main plus wide-angle. There is optical stabilization, "width" can work as a macro camera. The "bugs" also have a third tocamera, telephoto camera with a threefold increase. The resolution of the main cameras of the firmware has increased from 12 to 48 MP. The 1.22µm pixel size inspires respect. All other cameras, as before, have a resolution of 12 MP. It is traditionally promised that the cameras did a great job and they are now even more "wow" than before.

There were no fingerprint scanners, and no. the proprietary Lightning connector has not gone away. The sixth Wi-Fi, 5G, NFC, protection against water and dust according to the class IP68 - everything is unchanged here. The capacity of the batteries, as usual, is covered with fog.

And about money. Well, no one promised thatit will be easy.
