Today, every self-respecting site that publishes news about smartphones, told about the announcement of the device ZTE Axon 40 SE. Well, they will not lag behind their colleagues.

Actually, ZTE Axon 40 SE was announced in distant Mexico on October 6th. It’s just that then no one, anywhere except Mexico itself, paid the slightest attention to this. (And I didn't pay). Well, now one of the respected sites published a news article - and away we go.

But, in fact, this smartphone was born even a little earlier - at the end of September. Just under a different name - ZTE Blade V40s. And suddenlyoh country - in Malaysia.

Okay, let's get acquainted.

The choice of chipset is a little surprising. It seems that everyone is used to the fact that Axons are powerful smartphones. There is also a frankly frail Unisoc Tiger T618 (200-250 thousand points in AnTuTu).

Memory. In Mexico, ZTE Axon 40 SE will be sold in a single 4+128GB variant.

In Malaysia, everything is confusing. On the official website they write about 6 GB of RAM plus the possibility of its virtual "expansion" up to 11 GB. And in Malaysian stores, they claim that 6 GB is the total amount of RAM, already taking into account the addition of twoEurogigabyte. The permanent memory is the same as in Mexico - 128 GB.

AMOLED screen. Large, 6.67" (107 cm²). High resolution, 1080x2400 (395 ppi). No increased refresh rate.

The battery is average, 4500 mAh. Charging is moderately fast - 22.5 W.

Cameras. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP. There are three rear cameras - 50 + 5 + 2 MP (main, macro, depth sensor).

There is Type-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. NFC is definitely in Malaysia and it is not clear whether it is in Mexico.

And about money.

ZTE Axon 40 SE will be sold in Mexico for 5999 peco (₽18500, $300).

ZTE Blade V40s is currently priced at RM799 (₽10500, $170) in Malaysia.
