The announcement of the smartphone Redmi A1 took place in India almost a month ago. Now here Redmi A1 is present and global. And not even one, but paired with his older brother Redmi A1+. There is only one difference between the devices. The "Plus" has a fingerprint scanner on the back, while the ordinary Redmi A1 does not.

Also, the frequencies are slightly different than those of the Indian device. And for both smartphones, the presence of an older version of 3 + 32 GB is declared - there is no such one in India.

Briefly about the characteristics.

Chipset - quad-core MediaTek Helio A22. If you're lucky, getIt is in AnTuTu in the region of one hundred thousand points. Only 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory (plus there is support for memory cards, of course). Smartphones work on a stripped-down version of Android - 12 Go Edition.

Screen, of course, there are not enough stars from the sky. IPS-matrix with a diagonal of 6.52 "(103 cm²). The resolution is low, only 720x1600 (269 ppi). There is no increased refresh rate, but there is a sensor polling rate increased to 120 Hz.

With the battery, everything is in perfect order. Standard 5000 mAh. No fast charging, only 10W.

The cameras are quite simple. Front hasresolution 5 WE. The rear camera is double. The main one has a resolution of 8 MP. And something helpful. Most likely a traditional depth sensor.

In the "other" section, everything is bad. Single-band Wi-Fi, ancient Micro-USB. There is no NFC module. Of the sensors - generally one accelerometer. Both the proximity sensor and the light sensor are "virtual". What did you want for that kind of money?

And about money. The pages of both smartphones have already appeared on AliExpress - one, two. The start of sales is scheduled for October 10. According to advertisingbanners, Redmi A1 2+32 GB will cost you and me ₽5159.64 ($89.6), while its older brother will cost exactly ₽5160 ($89.6)... Such a strange pricing.

For the "rest of the world", the sale price has so far been announced only for Redmi A1. $74 (₽5030) for the same 2+32 GB.
