On sale. Xiaomi 12 Lite - a sudden semi-flagship? Or average?
It turns out that a couple of days ago, the range of Xiaomi smartphones quietly replenished with the Xiaomi 12 Lite model. Strangely, I don't see it on the official website. What is even stranger, it immediately went on sale in all our major chains. AT Connected, M.Video, Citylink, DNS etc. And it's not a pre-order. All stores in unison say that they have the model in stock. Come, buy.
In appearance, Xiaomi 12 Lite is very reminiscent of last year's twelfth series devices (Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12 Pro), but weaker than them and cheaper. (More precisely, official deliveries are cheaper. So on AliExpress Xiaomi 12X is now obscenely cheap. Yes, even Xiaomi 12 with its top-end hardware you can find for a little less money).
Let's get acquainted.
The smartphone is positioned as thin, compact and light. Well... By today's standards. A shovel, but not a very large shovel. 173 grams of weight and only 7.3 mm thick. But with all due respect, I can’t call the screen small. Diagonal 6.55 "(104 cm²), resolution 1080x2400 (402 ppi), refresh rate increased to 120 Hz. AM screenOLED and, alas and ah, the fingerprint scanner was hidden under it.
Chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. He formally belongs to the middle class. In fact, it is more than solid, although you really can’t rank it among the flagship ones. AnTuTu will have 500-550 thousand points.
Memory. So far, only one variety is available. 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There is no support for memory cards.
The battery was sacrificed for size, it is slightly smaller than the average for the hospital, 4300 mAh. But charging is very fast - 67 W (they promise that the full charge time will be41 minutes).
Xiaomi promises cool cameras. Although, judging by their characteristics, there is nothing special to boast about. Well, yes. The front has a high resolution, as much as 32 MP. There are three rear cameras, 108 + 8 + 2 MP - the main, wide-angle and macro cameras. But there is no optical stabilization. And the sensor of the main camera, apparently, is an average Samsung ISOCELL HM2. (Officially, it is not mentioned anywhere. But the specifications on the store's website indicate a pixel size of 0.7µm. I am not aware of other cameras of this resolution with a similar pixel).
Other. There is no standard audio output. Ethere is a sixth Wi-Fi, NFC, Type-C and even an IR blaster.
The price, to be honest, does not look humane. ₽40990 ($762) at the start of sales. We are waiting for reviews.

It turns out that 8+128 GB is not the only option for our smartphone. 6+128 GB and 8+256 GB are also available. But whether they will appear in Russia is unknown.
We also specified the size of the sensor of the main camera - 1/1.52". So, apparently, we have Samsung ISOCELL HM2 here. I don’t know other sensors of this size with this resolution.
