Russia Plans to Supply US with 10 Engines for Atlas V, Antares Carrier Rockets in 2021

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s Energomash analysis and manufacturing affiliation (a part of (*10*) state house company), a serious rocket engine producer, plans to provide the US with six engines for Atlas V provider rockets and 4 engines for Antares launch autos in 2021, in accordance to data posted on the state procurement web site.

The engines to be equipped are the RD-180 for the Atlas V rockets, and the RD-181 for the Antares.

The state procurement web site stated Energomash deliberate to make sure the transportation of six RD-180 and 4 RD-181 engines in 2021.

In January, Energomash stated it deliberate to ship six RD-180s to the United States in 2020, however no additional point out was fabricated from their transportation.

The RD-180 engine is used in the primary stage of the Atlas V rocket. In complete, in accordance to Energomash, 116 engines have been equipped to the United States since 1999, of which 92 have already been used.
