CDC ‘Actively Investigating’ Post-Vaccination Stroke Death of Florida OBGYN

A spokesperson for US-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which developed its COVID-19 vaccine alongside German agency BioNTech, stated that “serious adverse events, including deaths that are unrelated to the vaccine, are unfortunately likely to occur at a similar rate as they would in the general population.”

Dr. Gregory Michael, a 56-year-old OBGYN at Mountain Sinai Medical Center (MSMC) in Miami Beach, Florida, died on Monday after sustaining a hemorrhagic stroke as a consequence of inadequate blood platelets. 

“He was vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine at MSMC on December 18, 3 days later he saw a strong set of petechiae on his feet and hands which made him seek attention at the emergency room at MSMC,” the widow wrote in her Tuesday submit. 

Michael’s thrombocytopenia, which happens when one’s immune system mistakenly assaults the physique’s blood platelets, triggered the deadly stroke that killed him round two weeks after he was admitted to the hospital, in response to Neckelmann.
