Israeli Leaders Lay Wreath in Jerusalem in Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony

Six Holocaust survivors are anticipated to participate in the occasion, lighting a torch to honour hundreds of thousands of Jews murdered by the Nazi regime.

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are collaborating in a wreath-laying ceremony in Warsaw Ghetto Square on the Yad Vashem memorial advanced, commemorating the victims of the Holocaust.

This 12 months, the ceremony is titled “Eighty Years Since the Onset of Mass Annihilation”, as 2021 marks the eightieth anniversary of the Nazi assault on the Soviet Union that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands, together with roughly 1.5 million Jews in Eastern Europe.
