In the context of the lockdown in Brandenburg, the quarantine regulations have been adjusted. Accordingly, Brandenburg citizens must be quarantined for ten days after a short visit to Poland. Anyone who goes shopping, fills up with petrol or goes to the hairdresser in Poland must then go into quarantine. This regulation will initially apply until 15 January 2021.
Exceptions for commuters, pupils and family visits
According to the country's quarantine regulations, exceptions from the obligation to self-isolate apply to persons who have a valid reason for crossing the border – such as commuters, pupils, trainees and students who have to cross the border as part of their education. An exception to the quarantine obligation also applies to temporary family visits (72 hours) to first-degree relatives, cohabitants or spouses.
