Pele’s Former Club Santos Disputes Claims Messi Beat Brazil Icon’s Scoring Record

Earlier this week, Lionel Messi scored in opposition to Valladolid and topped the record of highest objective scorers for a single membership with 644 objectives.

The Brazilian soccer membership Santos has issued a press release through which it disputed media studies claiming that Lionel Messi had damaged the all-time file for objectives scored for a single membership and stated that Pele truly scored 1,091 objectives, not 643.

The membership has included in its tally a further 448 objectives which had been scored in pleasant native and worldwide video games in opposition to Inter Milan, América (Mexico) River Plate, and Boca Juniors. The membership identified that each one these video games had been official ones, as they had been organized below the approval of regional and nationwide federations, and therefore had been authorized by FIFA.

Barcelona’s ahead Lionel Messi reportedly broke two all-time data in a row, first equaling Pele’s file of objectives for a single membership and later taking on the record of high goalscorers.

Pele congratulated Messi on the “historic record” and praised his loyalty to Barcelona, the place Messi turned a six-time Ballon d’Or winner, gained 10 La Liga titles, and 4 Champions League cups.
