US Welcomes Decision by E3 to Drop IAEA Resolution Rebuking Iran

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The United States welcomes the choice by European nations to chorus from submitting a decision to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that will have rebuked Iran for proscribing the company’s inspection actions, US State Department spokesperson Ned Price mentioned on Thursday.

“The E3 decided with the full support of the United States that the best way to support the IAEA’s process was to refrain from putting forward the draft resolution at the meeting of the board of governors,” Price mentioned throughout a press briefing. “We are pleased with the outcome of IAEA board of governor’s meeting with respect to Iran.”

The IAEA chief Rafael Grossi mentioned on Thursday that Iran was prepared to sit down with the company’s technical consultants in a month to focus on present points, together with current discovery of uranium particles at suspected nuclear websites.

On February 23, Iran began limiting the scope of the IAEA’s inspections as a brief measure till the sanctions towards Iran are lifted. The UN nuclear watchdog reached a brief bilateral understanding with Iran in February, which permits worldwide inspectors a restricted entry to nuclear websites for 3 further months after Iran’s menace to shut them out.
